Your Child’s Safety Is Important To Us!

One of our greatest fears as a parent is that one of our children could get lost, go missing or be abducted.
Because Boudreau Dental Studio feels strongly about protecting our children, we will offer a free
Toothprints® ID System with every cleaning & exam during the Summer months for children in the age ranges of 3-4, 8-9 and 11-12 years.

It is a simple technique using an arch-shaped thermaplastic wafer that we soften in hot water, then place on the patient’s lower arch. The child bites into the wafer for 50 seconds. This records tooth characteristics, tooth position and upper & lower jaw relationship. It also captures saliva which can be used for DNA testing or a source of human scent effective for dog tracking.

Your child’s “tooth print” will be sealed in a plastic bag and sent home with the parents for safe keeping. In March 2008, a German shepherd picked up the scent of a missing 7 year old boy from the saliva from his tooth print impression. The boy was found standing behind a building. The article can be found at this link-

Summer is a great time to get children in for their cleaning and exam appointments. Call to schedule an appointment and take advantage of this free offer on the Toothprints® ID System.

SUMMER BLEACHING SPECIAL

Here at Boudreau Dental Studio, we want to give our patients a dazzling white smile with our custom fit tooth whitening tray system.

If you have had your teeth cleaned in our office in the last 6 months, just call for a 10 minute appointment for the required impressions of your teeth. If you are due for your cleaning, you will get better results if we clean and polish your teeth first, as the bleach cannot penetrate through the plaque and tartar.

Being cavity free is a must for bleaching, as your teeth could be sensitive from the process.

WE ARE CURRENTLY OFFERING A SUMMER BLEACH SPECIAL AT THE GREAT PRICE OF $100 (NORMALLY $290) FOR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM.

“I Have Dentures, Do I Still Need to Come In?”

Absolutely!! Surprisingly, people with complete dentures should be seen by a dentist once a year.
Oral cancer is the sixth most common form of cancer with roughly 40,000 new cases reported in the United States each year. With early detection, oral cancer is 80-90% survivable. Your best defense is a yearly exam by your family dentist.
The fit, function and esthetics of the dentures can also be assessed at the time. As we age, the tissues and bony support changes in the mouth. This leads to ill-fitting dentures that can cause sore spots and chewing problems, not to mention the embarrassment of “slippage.” Sometimes a simple reline will correct the problem or if the dentures are more than 7 years old, you might want to consider getting a new set. Your old dentures could then be designated as your “spares”. That way, you’ll never have to go without your smile.
